Who We Are

2017 marks a very special year for our company! First of all we will be celebrating our 20th year producing high quality community theatre. Second and most exciting Runaway Stage Productions (RSP) will be moving to our own performing arts center. That’s right, after 14 years at the Sierra 2 Community Center (24th Street Theatre); RSP needs to create our own home to host our productions, warehouse, rehearsal spaces, offices and performer facilities. This is so exciting, and we plan to hold our grand opening at our new location – 1540 South River Road, West Sacramento! The new location will be only a short distance from our current location and will be located in the new redevelopment area of the river front! We are so very thrilled about this opportunity and expanding our ability to provide more performance opportunities, a stable environment for our talented performers and musicians and the opportunity to server you, our patrons in a much more conducive comfortable environment.

The new location will be a 250+ seat theatre, with a larger stage, upgraded sound system, state of the art lighting system, a dedicated orchestra location, secure patron parking, new multiple stall restrooms, a large event lobby, upgraded concessions stand, dedicated box office facilities, upgraded rehearsal, dressing rooms, warehouse, costume and rehearsal facilities. This is big, exciting and long overdue for our company, patrons and the arts community.

RSP needs your help to make this new facility and the growth and ongoing activities of this thriving community theatre. We must raise $250,000 to make this new facility a reality and we need your help to achieve our goals. Please show your support and donate! Your support of any amount will ensure that RSP continues to provide the quality entertainment and educational opportunities that we have developed over the last 19 years.
